I have been using Quicken for years. This year I finally decided to get better organized and bought QuickBooks for Mac. Best decision I have made this year. I can now hit one button “Snapshot” and know how my business is doing. I should have made this move years ago.QuickBooks 2010 for Mac

I am in a service industry, i.e. photography and license my work, the use of my copyrighted material. This program allows me to create lists of items and assign them the proper business category, i.e. an expense, non-inventory part, group, other charge. Because many accountants use Quickbooks or are use to working with clients using Quickbooks, the export data for Quickbooks PC helps me communicate in an effective way with my accountant. This program also has an integrated time-keeping package that is downloadable. It allows for time data entry with job assignment and category of work. The category of work can be assigned a cost value in the list of items. The whole process helps you streamline your job tracking and invoicing.
This software has a new wrapper that will be enjoyed by Mac Users but it houses the internal workings that your accountant will appreciate.
I highly recommend this product.

I purchased QuickBooks for Mac 2010. What a mistake. I tried contacting support but they did not respond to my calls and emails. They will not take a .qfx file (quicken file) from my bank.

Quickbooks 2010 for Mac is ok. If you enjoy spending time fiddling with the program you can utilize it well enough. Somewhat straight forward. Customizing invoices and forms is a bit tricky and you have to play with it. It can be time consuming. I can not merge Quickbooks 2007 for PC into my 2010 for Mac. That is a pain since I want to transfer the info into the new version. I am disappointed that no manuals come with the program and you have to go to a tutorial on the web to ask questions or find out solutions. Intuit does provide some support and thank goodness since they helped me out. I love my Mac but if you own one you know that you need patience when operating programs. I bought Adobe photoshop as well as it is the same problem. Trial by error.

I’m using ‘QB2008Pro for WIN’, my company book has over 10 years history now. Tried to convert to MAC in this time, then I report some lack of basic function on this QB2010 for MAC here.
I did download ‘QB2010 for MAC trail’ first. I made a copy my company file for MAC by ‘QB2008Pro for WIN’.
Intuit Chat service told me this must be compatible method, and you can see this description on Intuit product we-page. But Stop!! It must be incorrect!!!
Then I found some facts on Intuit’s community forum then, I downloaded ‘QB2010 Premier for WIN’ first. Make a file for ‘QB2010 for WIN’ from the data of my ‘QB2008Pro WIN’. On the ‘QB2010 WIN’, make a copy for MAC. Then after try to use this file on ‘QB2010 for MAC.’ BUT, still exact same big trouble!!!!

This is not normal thing as SOFTWARE company.
I love this MAC software’s appearance but should pass this version at least!!!!!!!
