Logitech makes wonderful mice and good looking keyboards. This keyboard is one of the best looking Mac keyboards I’ve seen. However, that’s about all I can say about this hunk of worthless plastic. This is another in a long line of soft, mushy keyboards that belongs in the trash. I should have known better. I’ve purchased or used three Logitech keyboards in the past and I thought maybe the company had learned to make a handsome keyboard with a little spring or resistance in the keys. Sorry, no dice. I literally had painful wrists after getting to page 6 of a 10 page report. That’s when I unplugged the diNovo Mac keyboard and plugged in my old reliable Matias keyboard. I’m putting this thing on Craigslist for $10 or free if you’ll just come get it. Even the Dell keyboard I have to use at work is more comfortable than this thing. Can no keyboard manufacturer make a workable keyboard for the Mac — Apple included?!

I purchased this keyboard only to discover that all the punctuation keys typed the wrong thing. I returned it and Amazon promptly sent out another one and it had the exact same issues which I had to return as well.

  3. I have a MAC pro and I was half hearted about the original apple keyboard and this one. At the end, I got this one and I am very happy about my choice. It is much better that the apple bluetooth keyboard. In my opinion here are the pros and cons:

    Pros:

    - Excellent key stroke feeling. Typing is much better that the apple keyboard. Keys have reasonable size.

    - Extended key sets, delete, page-up, page-down, numeric keypad

    - Convenient reprogramming of the functionality of different function keys. I have assigned F13 to open shell, F6 to open Firefix … and it has total of 19 function keys (not all of them can be reassigned). If you hold the function keys for 5 second, it brings you to the page that you can reassign keys.

    Cons:

    - You need to have the USB dongle that comes with it. It does not directly pair with the bluetooth on the machine.

    - Although the noise level is very low, still not totally silent.

I needed to replace an Apple wired keyboard that had been lost during our move. I wanted something wireless but the Apple wireless version didn’t have a separate # pad, which I need. That also ruled out the diNovo Edge. After reviewing the reviews, ordered this one.

Visually, this keyboard is stunning. Looks & feels very solid. The silver palm rest seems to be actual metal. Goes great with my 2008 MacBook Pro. The key action is perfect in my opinion. Excellent feel. Can type very fast & accurately. The on/off switch is a great feature.

It would have been nice to have Bluetooth so I wouldn’t need a dongle, but is not a deal breaker. The dongle is small & I connect it the back of the Logitech Alto Stand & it works perfectly. Haven’t had any issues with lag or the keyboard not connecting. It even works during the log in screen at start up to enter my user password.

The Mac specific keys are great. F-keys can be programmed.

Only a couple of downsides. I wish it had a way to raise the back of the keyboard a little higher. The keyboard is very thin & I love the aesthetic but just a little higher would be better for me. Just a wish, not a deal breaker. Also, you do need to install the software in order to use the Mac-specific keys etc. Not too big a deal, but I’m usually wary of adding more & more software to the backend of the OS.

Overall, very pleased. Would definitely buy again. Highly recommended keyboard for Macs.

Works well. The keys provide just enough resistance/noise. It looks great.

I usually don’t have to do a large amount of typing on it, and I can see how it would not be ergonomically ideal for someone who is typing a lot. It’s ergonomic enough for regular office use, though.

I use the numeric keypad often and it works well.

I’ve never had any connection problems at all.
