Ok so I login to my Gmail acct today only to find 2 links (yes count em, 2) In my browser while I am checking my mail. These 2 links were at the header and footer of the page. Let me make it clear. It was NOT Google showing Celeb Porn ads.

At first I was asking myself. “Why is Google peddelin porn to me in my Gmail acct.” Then it occurred to me that this is somebody with at least a sense of humor. Ok not really but at least they are pretty creative with it. Viewing the source only gave me a call to a .js file located on my machine.
After some amusement with the whole thing and not to mention myself. I started wondering where it came from (who the hell knows). I thought I would take a screen capture of it and post it in my blog before I go and get rid of it.
I can only guess that it somehow reads my cookies and knows if I have Gmail and only shows it when I login to Gmail. It could possible be some attempt to make Gmail look bad or maybe they just know that google shows ads and an unsuspecting user not realizing it or even catching something like this would be click happy and click the link to see what it is. (I personally don’t care for hardcore celebrity toons btw.)
After clicking the link I realized what it was and it’s goal is. The link was a actually a trade link script because it had the tag of http://gals4you.com/go?******* where ” * ” was a code for a traffic swap to identify it. I would suggest not going to that website. You have been warned. 
Basicly in short adult web sites use these trade scripts to
1. jerk ther user around
2. share traffic with each other to get more traffic back. That means more money for the web site.
I think it was a pretty clever idea however I dont care for spyware. I will be sure to change my gmail pass as well.
